[edit] About

Located in the old Jewish quarter of Amsterdam, Waterloopleinmarkt is most famous flea market in the city. A delight for antiques, collectibles, and various bric-a-brac hunters, as well for those who don't want to venture too far from the city centre, this former Jewish market features over 300 vendors who offer a wide array of antiques and collectibles such as jewelry, ceramics, glassware, architectural salvage, home accessories and vintage clothing. At the Waterloopleinmarkt, you can find second-hand and new clothing, records, books, little knick-knacks, arts and crafts, and appliances.

Waterlooplein Square itself was established in 1882, before being named after the Battle of Waterloo. It quickly became a popular daily marketplace for Jewish merchants until World War Two. After the war, it became a flea market. Today, Waterloopleinmarkt is open daily, except on Sundays, all year round.
