[edit] About
In Chelsea since 1976, Authentiques Past & Present is a fine source of American kitsch from the '50s and '60s. Shop's three-part, attic-style room stocks vintage glass and barware, kitchen items, lamps, random knick-knacks, all in good condition and in unique, colorful styles. The back room, floor to ceiling, stocks housed vintage cocktail ware. Among the vintage items offered are Ocean Liner memorabilia, presidential items, 1939 and 1964 World's Fair items, vases, stemware, 1950's lamps, Christmas ornaments, beaded fruit, art glass, old cartoon items, salt and peppers, Pin-up and girlie items and so on. The store also has large collection vintage postcards of New York City, from 1905 to 1959.
Run by co-owners Robert Pusilo & Paul Richards Lemma for over 32 years, Authentiques Past & Present has frequent visits from New York's film and theater prop stylists.
