Greg Martin Auctions was officially launched in 2002, and recently became a part of Heritage Auctions, the third largest auction house in the world, worth an estimated $700 million dollars a year. Found in San Francisco's SoMa Design District, Greg Martin Auctions specializes in historic military items, including firearms and edged weapons, armor, militaria, American Indian Art and associated historical memorabilia. Auction's history dating back to 1865, the origins of Greg Martin Auctions were founded by three veterans of Butterfields Auctioneers: Greg Martin, Bernard Osher and John Gallo.
